My name is Heather, and I'm the Director here at Ivybrook Academy Mount Pleasant. I've sat with so many parents at this very moment, hopeful, a little unsure, wanting clarity, and reassurance in making the right decision.
This process shouldn't feel overwhelming or complicated. It should feel honest, steady, and supportive, the way early childhood is meant to feel.
Let me share something with you plainly.
Preschool isn’t about “getting ahead.” It’s about belonging. It’s about confidence and emotional safety. It’s about your child being known, truly known, by the educators who guide them.
And the environment you choose shapes that more than most people realize.
Children thrive in places where the light is soft, the materials are natural, the adults are patient, and the pace leaves room for discovery. They thrive when they're greeted by name, with warmth. When curiosity is welcomed. When learning feels like play instead of pressure.
That's what we've built here, a thoughtful, beautiful environment where children can explore, create, connect, and grow without overwhelm.

A relaxed, comfortable pace. Teachers who stay close and pay attention. Spaces set up with real intention. Children who feel secure enough to explore. And the way you breathe a little easier without even realizing it.
Hands-on materials invite children to explore math, sorting, and real-world concepts at their own pace.
Every child steps into preschool with their own story, and part of my role is helping you see where that story fits. I'd love to learn more about your child, who they are, what they love, what you've been noticing.
There's no pressure to decide anything during our conversation. My hope is that you leave feeling more confident, more informed, and more grounded than before we talked.

Programs for Ages 18 Months – 5 Years
Every child grows at their own pace, our programs are designed to meet them right where they are.
Toddlers (18–24 months): A gentle, nurturing introduction to separation, exploration, and early independence.
2s Program: Hands-on discovery, early social skills, sensory play, and emotional foundations.
3s Program: Growing confidence, early literacy and math invitations, rich conversations, and collaborative play.
Pre-K 4: Montessori–Reggio blended learning, early academics through exploration, and strong social/emotional readiness.
Pre-K 5: A bridge year focused on confidence, leadership, and kindergarten readiness, without rushing childhood.
